The life of Sam Kader, the son of a UN Diplomat, was one filled with adventure and passion. Having grown up all over the world, he lived an extraordinary life that was full of excitement and purpose. Along with his work in international business consulting, he was a gifted pilot, surfer, polo player, and auto racer. But what truly defined Sam was his deep and unwavering commitment to helping others. He devoted countless hours to United Nations Peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts, always putting the needs of his fellow man first.
Tragically, when Sam sought treatment for spinal pain, he contracted MRSA and passed away within three weeks.
Sam’s loss is felt deeply by all who knew him, but his selfless spirit will live on forever. Salwa Kader, a mother who has dedicated her life to saving others, was left devastated when she couldn’t save the one life that mattered most to her: her son, Sam’s. On the first anniversary of his passing, she launched a worldwide effort to educate the public, inspire new research, create crucial legislation, and encourage all in the scientific community to join forces to battle MRSA, so that no other family would have to bear the same momentous loss that hers has. Her tireless efforts are a testament to the depth of her love for her son and her unwavering determination to make a difference in the world in his memory.
